Data producers

They include manufacturers (IoT, automatons, BMS…) working in multiple sectors such as Industry, Smart Building, Energies and Water management, Transportation… The communicating objects generate different types of useful and exploitable data including : – Températures – Energy measuring (electricity, gas, water…) – Meters and energy consumption data (on/off, battery status) – Machine uptime/usage time to deduce a maintenance schedule.

 

Data consumers

They include applications such as ERP, Supervision, CMMS and predictive maintenance solutions. These applications exploit and add value to the data produced by IoTs and automatons, promoting relevant and rapid decision-making. They can be specialized for a type of sector or a type of data.

Problematic

Data producers and consumers rely on communication protocols that will be used during the information exchange phases. However, the data produced by PLCs and IoTs do not communicate with all applications. This is called a communication by silo, a PLC communicates with only one application. The flows are not secure and errors or data loss can be observed.

What uses?

Dev I/O is a multi-protocol, multi-application, multi-channel data acquisition and distribution front-end. As a remote management solution, the software unifies the data coming from automatons and IoT, processes them and transmits them to third-party applications while taking into account the themes of authentication, confidentiality and data integrity. Dev I/O assimilates the different protocols of devices and applications and allows them to communicate with each other thanks to the product’s rules engine.

COLLECT : Protocols equipment / public and private operators

Protocols equipment / public and private operators Dev I/O manages historical and real time data and collects the data as close as possible to the connected objects. It enables bilateral data exchanges, especially for remote control of equipment. Dev I/O integrates more than 300 protocols developed in multiple sectors of activity.

PROCESS : Rules engine / filtering

The Dev I/O acquisition front-end is able to filter the data retrieved from the equipment parks to transfer them to the right interlocutors. For example, a partner in charge of equipment maintenance will only receive data useful for its intervention planning (alerts etc…).

SECURE : Hybrid architecture

The acquisition software can be duplicated or installed and linked on different office networks and/or Demilitarized Zones (DMZ) in order to ensure maximum security during the assimilation of numerous measurement points and sensitive data.

DISTRIBUTOR : Sharing data

Dev I/O transfers data to the right local or remote application (SaaS) after a filtering according to the business to ensure a relevance of the data collected, at the right time, to the right interlocutors. The remote management system facilitates the daily management of all the equipment parks.

SUPERVISING :

All instances and assimilated data flows can be monitored and supervised to visualize the connections between devices, Dev I/O and applications and thus quickly detect anomalies.

    Dev I/O is compatible with the SIGFOX and LoRa low-bandwidth networks. 8,000 probes are already in production.
